What is HydraFacial?

A HydraFacial is a cosmetic procedure that uses special devices to cleanse and hydrate your skin. It usually uses patented technology to clean the pores and get rid of the skin’s dead skin cells.

What Does Hydrafacial Do for Your Skin?

As mentioned before, hydrafacial is a three-step cosmetic treatment that involves cleansing, exfoliating, and hydration of the skin. Here is what you can expect from the process and what it does to your skin.

The first step of the procedure is cleansing. The specialist will likely use cleansing products meant for your skin type and then cleanse your entire face to provide a smooth canvas for further procedures in the treatment. The cleansing process often involves exfoliation as well, to get rid of the excess oils and dead skin cells in the pores.

In this step, a mixture of glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and other botanical extracts is used to make a chemical peel for the specific skin type of the patient. The peel is applied and left on the skin to penetrate into the deeper layers for better cleansing.

This step uses the vacuum extraction tool to remove the dirt from inside the pores and the dead skin cells lying on the superficial layer of the skin.

the entire procedure is then finished with the application of a hydrating serum that seeps into the layers of the skin to hydrate it from within. The serum also helps restore the supple texture of the skin and clears out any dryness or roughness.

The treatment starts with loosening and opening the pores and then prepping the skin using a mix of glycolic acid, salicylic acid, and several botanical ingredients for better cleansing.
Once the pores are open enough, the professional uses vacuum-powered extraction equipment that gets rid of the dirt and oils clogged inside the pores. It is a non-invasive procedure and is practically painless.
